Good job, Mandeville police
published: Thursday | March 9, 2006

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I WOULD like to congratulate the Mandeville police for doing a wonderful job in capturing the men who robbed and killed a security guard at a cambio in the town yesterday morning. The police acted in a quick and professional way in tracking and capturing the men, especially as they also had large crowds to handle while doing so.

RUTHLESS BEHAVIOUR

Mandeville has so far been spared this kind of ruthless behaviour and we would like to believe that we can continue to do so. The importance of quick apprehension when something like this occurs therefore, is so important to the well-being of all of our citizens.

There are many times when we criticise the police, so in this regard, I would like to express my congratulations to them for the very fine job that they did.

I am, etc.,

SALLY PORTEOUS

Deputy Mayor of Mandeville
