ENGLAND A, trailing West Indies A by 20 runs on first innings, reached 60 for two in their second innings at the close on the second day of their second unofficial four-day Test at Beausejour Cricket Ground yesterday.
Earlier, West Indies A were dismissed for 221 with opener Lendl Simmons top scoring with 45 and skipper Sylvester Joseph making 44. Spinner Dave Mohammed chipped in at the end of the innings with an unbeaten 36.
In England's second innings, Jamaica paceman Andrew Richardson claimed two early wickets for 25 runs to keep the match evenly poised heading into the penultimate day of play.
The West Indies A won the first 'Test' last week by a wicketc in Antigua.
Meanwhile, Joseph has been retained as captain of the West Indies A for the five one-day match series against England A later this month.
The first two one-day matches will be in St. Lucia on March 9 and 11, followed by three in Barbados on March 14, 17 and 19.
The full West Indies A squad will be announced tomorrow.
Scotland will play two matches against a West Indies reserve team when they visit Barbados later this month.
The Scotland team will tour from March 9-24 to prepare for the ICC's World Cup next year. The tour is being run by the Barbados organising committee for the Cricket World Cup.
The matches will be on March 21 and 23 at the Windward Cricket Club on the eastern tip of the island.
Scotland will have four other matches while in Barbados.
They will play two matches against Barbados at the Three Ws Oval, one against the University of the West Indies, and another against the Empire Club, the island's champion team.
The Scots are in Pool A with defending champions Australia, South Africa and the Netherlands in St. Kitts at the World Cup.
