King extends his goal-scoring spree
published: Wednesday | February 8, 2006

KING

LONDON (CMC):

REGGAE BOY Marlon King extended his goal spree in the English Championship with a brace that fired Watford to a 4-1 victory over the second placed Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Monday.

The 25-year old striker scored in the 47th and 69th minute as Watford ran riot in the second half, after holding a slender 1-0 half-time lead.

Watford, third in the league behind Sheffield and leaders Reading, took the lead in the sixth minute through Chris Eagles.

King then sent the east England club into a 2-0 lead with the first of his two goals, and even though Barbadian international Paul Ifill pulled one back for Sheffield, King struck again to extend the scoreline.

Hameur Bouazza completed Watford's domination with an 88th minute goal.

King now has 15 goals for the season.
