BAG IT!
published: Monday | January 23, 2006

Left: These two bags are mutlifunctional for both casual and work wear. Dress them up with nice work pants or skirt suit or dress them down with a pair of jeans and a nice top. Right: Colour is the flavour of life and this olive green bag will add some to yours. - NORMAN GRINDLEY/DEPUTY CHIEF PHOTOGRAPHER

LIKE PAIRS of shoes, a woman can never have too many handbags. And the range available these days is as exciting as it is enticing.

If your outfit is not very outstanding, a great handbag will add a dash of pizzaz and pull many admiring comments your way. It can give the impression that your outfit is just fabulous when it may not be. Some men don't see the big deal that women place on handbags. That is understandable because they just don't get it. However, when a woman starts to believe that one bag is ideal for all occasions, it's time to become worried.

This year, make sure to invest in a few casual bags and get them in different colours. Casual bags are an important investment just as the work and evening bags. It looks very tacky to see someone shopping or walking the mall without a great bag over her shoulders or worse, with a paper shopping bag!

Sometimes we see many women just hanging out casually but they are sporting fancy jewelled evening bags. Now that is wrong. Here are a few casual handbags that are suitable for when you are going out on the town, shopping or just hanging out.
