Vogue courts Nell Robinson
published: Monday | January 23, 2006

Nell

ARENA covergirl Nell Robinson became the fifth model from Jamaica and from Pulse to shoot for Vogue, the industry's fashion's bible and the most important image maker worldwide. Nell joins an elite club of stars from Pulse, the Caribbean's leading fashion and modelling authority to have achieved this major mark in their careers.

Lois Samuels landed cover duties for German Vogue and a few years later, Nadine Willis' landmark 10 page French Vogue editorial rocked the fashion world and set the stage for a continuous interest in Pulse models from Vogue. Coming off the heels of Ms Willis' additional duties for Japanese, Spanish, British and Italian Vogue, Jaunel Mc Kenzie was not to be outdone and followed shortly with spreads in French, German, Japanese and American Vogue for which she has since shot a record 11 times. Rochelle Watson appeared for Jasper Conran in British Vogue and now it's Nell's turn.

Naturally, Nell had the fortune of working with two of fashion's most celebrated photographers - Ellen Von Unwerth and Matthew Donaldson for her German and Italian Vogue shoots. Since she landed the cover of ARENA with the declaration that she was 'the body of 2005,' Nell is determined to remain true to form well beyond that breakthrough editorial. Her super sexy figure has captured creative directors and editors at GQ in which she has appeared in multiple spreads for the magazine.
