published: Wednesday | May 4, 2005

THE POLICE are seeking the assistance of the public to locate an acquaintance of a 38-year-old woman and her eight-year-old daughter who were murdered at their home at Mount Pleasant district, Runaway Bay, St. Ann, on January 2, 2004.

The acquaintance being sought is Clive Livingston, 19, of Pickle Pole district, St. Ann. The victims had earlier been identified as Michelle and Marley Thornton.

BODIES FOUND

A report filed by the CCN's St. Ann liaison officer stated that on January 2 last year, about 9:30 a.m., family members found the bodies in a bedroom and summoned the police. Investigators who examined the bodies discovered that Mrs. Thornton, whose hands and feet were bound, had been stabbed to death while her daughter appeared to have been strangled.

Anyone with information that can assist in locating Clive Livingston is being asked to call Superintendent Wilford Gayle at 975-5803, 972-2081, Crime Stop at 1888-991-4000, Kingfish at 811 or the Runaway Bay police at 973-3433.
