EIGHT SCHOOLS will be battling for top honours as the quarter-finals of the Cable & Wireless Schools' Badminton Knockout competition continues today at G.C. Foster College starting at 9:00 a.m.
Campion College, Calabar High, Jamaica College, Holy Trinity, Ardenne, St. Jago, Haile Selassie and Montpelier College (making their debut) are the teams in contention.

JC TRIUMPH
In the qualifying round, Jamaica College secured their place in the Knockout by defeating St. George's 3-0. Holy Trinity was also assured their place defeating Wolmer's Boys 3-1.
The junior teams began their battle in the Cable & Wireless Under-15 schools league just over a week ago with Holy Trinity boys' defeating this year's schools' league finalists Haile Selassie 3-2 in an exciting contest at the Haile Selassie courts.
OTHER MATCHES
The other Corporate Area matches in the boys' junior league were very one-sided. Jamaica College blanked St. George's College 5-0 defending champions, Campion College trounced Greenwich All-Age 5-0, Jamaica College defeated Greenwich All-Age 5-0, Wolmer's Boys' overwhelmed Ardenne High 5-0, Campion dismissed St. Georges 4-1, Calabar defeated Holy Trinity 5-0.
In the girls' action, defending champions St. Andrew beat St. Hugh's 4-1, Haile Selassie defeated Greenwich All-Age 3-2.
In the rural parishes, the girls' competition started with Bishop Gibson defeating Belair 4-1.
