Policeman held on ganja charge

A POLICE sergeant attached to the Greater Portmore Police Station was jailed yesterday, following the seizure of over 400 pounds of ganja at his home in Portmore, St. Catherine.

He was nabbed during a raid conducted by members of the narcotics division and Operation Kingfish. Reports are that yesterday's success was a follow-up to an operation conducted a week ago in West Bay Portmore, where two persons were arrested in connection with 1,000 pounds of ganja.
