THE second leg semi-final matches in the Sherwin Williams/Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) Women's football league are on today.

Defending champions Barbi-can face Portmore Strikers at Barbican playfield and Harbour View take on Untouchable Strikers at Harbour View Mini Stadium. Both games start at 3:00 p.m.

In last Saturday's first leg semi-finals, Barbican edged Portmore Strikers 1-0 at Racing Field while Harbour View outscored Untouchable Strikers 3-2 at the UDC field in Montego Bay.

Although he believes they should have won last week's game, Portmore Strikers' coach, Cornell Clarke, said.

"We just have to regroup, come later and try and cut the deficit as early as possible."

Barbican's coach, Charles Edwards, said his team didn't play well last week, but promised a better game today.

"I think our midfield was extremely rusty, extremely rusty, because we have one of the best midfields right now. We had a good track record coming into the game and prior to this we were playing much more attractive and solid football."

WINNERS

He attributed their loss of sharpness to the long break and said: "I am happy we came out the winners. We should give a better performance next week."

For today's do-or-die en-counter, Venicia 'String Bean' Reid and Tanesha Vincent will once again lead Portmore Strikers' attack, with help expected from Tenesha Clarke and Rochelle Bryan, while Marsha Boyd, Kerry-Ann Goldson and Rita Walker are expected to marshall the defence.

Jodi-Ann McGregor, Al-
verine Hamilton, Nicole Bell, Samya Lewis, Julie Fearon, Petrone Ricketts and national goalkeeper Nikkesha Thomas will lead Barbican's charge.

Margaret Francis, Shakera Duncan and Andrea Duffus scored for Harbour last week and should once again lead their team's attack, while Untouchable Strikers will once again look to Rochelle Sloley and Sasha McIntyre for goals.
