A good deed by Sandals
published: Sunday | April 6, 2003

THE EDITOR, Sir:

ON SUNDAY, I watched with admiration representatives from Sandals Dunn's River feeding the street people in Ocho Rios. They did not just go to one central spot but drove around the market and all over searching to find them. Regardless of their condition they went to them and gave them lunch in styrofoam plates with forks and a bottle of soda.

One man jumped for joy when he got baked chicken and roast beef. Those persons sleeping were awakened and given their meal; by just watching how quickly they devoured the meal tells how much it was appreciated.

Situations like this is what the Prime Minister refers to when he talks about 'Values & Attitudes.' Come on Jamaica, if other companies emulate Sandals we would be a better nation. Big up Sandals!

I am, etc.,

JOAN SINCLAIR
