'A man of integrity'

THE EDITOR, Sir:

WE, the undersigned, having read the declaration made by Michael Sylvester in which he alleges that Justice Isaac made statements to him which would suggest that Justice Isaac harboured a bias against Edward Seaga, make the following statements:

We have known Justice Isaac for many years past. He is a man of great integrity and learning.

We believe that Justice Isaac will discharge whatever duty he has to perform with his usual honesty and without fear or favour.

We regard the declaration made by Michael Sylvester to be absolutely without foundation.

The chosen dates and locations of alleged conversations require very accurate memory, a capacity which we have not seen in Michael Sylvester lately.

Like many of our colleagues we condemn this action by Michael Sylvester.

We are, etc.,

DEREK KNIGHT, Q.C,.

CAROL BRISTOL, Q.C.,

COSMO ST. BERNARD, Q.C.,
