It was Karlene Arthurs, 16, a fifth-form student of Camperdown High who came out on top. Second place went to 19-year-old Natalie Green and third place to Taneda Lawrence.
Karlene will be competing against girls from 50-60 other countries for the Elite Model Look.
While in Nice, Karlene will be judged on beauty and exposed to various designers and fashion photographers.
The girls were chosen in an all-island search that wasconducted by Television Jamaica in conjunction with The Look Jamaica and Elite Models.
The models were presented to the audience on hand at the Hilton Hotel on Wednesday. The girls who were dressed in swimwear created an impression on the audience because of their beauty and obvious talent.
From the 21 girls, six were chosen. The top three were selected from the six which included girls such as Marion McGregor and Casey Hamilton whom the Jamaican public will hear of in the future.
All the girls were interviewed on Wednesday by John Bilboa, Elite Director, and Jean Pierre Begon, Elite Partner.
To determine the winner the girls' personality and physique was taken into consideration.
