Boyz out of U-20 World Cup

A spirited second half performance, which produced their only goal of the tournament, was not enough to keep Jamaica's young Reggae Boyz in the Under-20 World Cup football championship yesterday.

Jamaica were routed 5-1 by host Argentina, capping a three match winless show at the event, and were eliminated in the first round of competition. The local lads had drawn 0-0 with Egypt and lost 0-1 to Finland.

Fabian Dawkins scored the only goal for the young Reggae Boyz, who were reduced to 10 men just before half time, when the team trailed 0-4.
