Bright CARICOM leaders

Arthur and Anthony

THE EDITOR, Sir:

THE RECENT summit of the Americas has some merit for the Caribbean, apart from the historic declaration of intent to establish 'the giant' by 2005, and the protesters on the outside.

I want to take this opportunity to congratulate two young bright CARICOM leaders, who were the darlings of the international media. They are St. Lucian PM, Kenny Anthony and Barbados' PM Owen Arthur. The lawyer and the economist.

That was what I saw from this side of the Atlantic. Congratulation, Sirs.

I am etc.,
